New B2B sourcing event showcases exclusive creations from 400 of the world's top brands at QSNCC

BANGKOK, Thailand, 26 April 2023 – Jewellery & Gem ASEAN Bangkok (JGAB), the first event held in Thailand under the auspices of the world's leading B2B jewellery fair organiser – Informa Markets Jewellery – opens today in Halls 1 & 2 of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).

Running through 29 April, JGAB is presenting over 10,000 exceptional products from 400 leading brands from 15 countries and regions, namely Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Türkiye, Singapore, the UAE and the US.

"JGAB gathers industry experts and exhibitors from across the world under one roof, presenting buyers with the best of local and global brands in the jewellery and gemstone sector," said Anna Vichvech, Event Director of Informa Markets Thailand.

"Simultaneously, the fair strives to enhance Thailand's gemstone and jewellery industry by increasing its visibility as a significant global trading centre and the primary hub for gemstone cutting and jewellery design in the region."

The significance of JGAB for the industry cannot be overemphasised, added Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery.

"This fair leverages Bangkok's strengths in the gemstone community; it caters to one of the fastest-growing jewellery markets in the world – Southeast Asia, and it is ideally timed for buyers positioning their inventories for the peak selling months," Lau said. The fair harnesses Informa's industry expertise, international reach and established connections within the global jewellery community.

JGAB is supported by the ASEAN Gem and Jewelry Trade Association; Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization); Thai Chamber of Commerce; Trade Association of Gem, Jewelry and Precious Metals, and the Gem and Jewelry Industry Group under the Federation of Thai Industries.

A rich variety of products is on show at JGAB, including finished jewellery in platinum, gold and silver adorned with precious stones; jewellery materials including loose diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls; packaging, tools and equipment, and industry-related services.

Among the B2B event's highlights are the "Young Designer Awards" and "JGAB Runway," which will offer insights into the fashion and jewellery trends in 2023 and beyond.
