O&M Manager

The O&M Manager will report to the Plant Manager with access to company management. He/she will supervise about 15 permanent staffs and contractors. The position is based in Thailand and requires some travelling domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensures that all technical activities related to operation and maintenance of the wind farms are carried out in compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures and good industrial practices with regard to environmental, health and safety matters.
2. Plans and directs the operations of wind turbines and SCADA systems; plant electrical networks; medium and high voltage switchgear; substation operation; and liaison with control centers and other departments of EGAT and PEA for normal and emergency operations and maintenance scheduling to ensure satisfactory operations, performance, availability and profitability of the plant.
3. Implements programs related to continuous monitoring, analysis and preventive maintenance.
4. Plans and supervises all wind turbine-generators and BOP scheduled and unscheduled maintenance works including parts purchasing; equipment repairs; inventory management; contractor tender preparation, bidding and selection and supervision to ensure that the maintenance is done properly.
5. Works with internal/external engineers/experts to analyze, resolve and troubleshoot any technical and O&M problems.
6. Supervises all plant O&M matters including human resources; trainings; personnel scheduling; office equipment inventory; record keepings; reports and backups of all documentations, drawings, manuals, contracts, operations and maintenance matters, security cameras, incidents and emergencies.
7. Prepares and maintains procedures and manuals for plant O&M, administrative functions and ensures their execution and compliance
8. Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports concerning production, operation and maintenance, and incidents including alarms and trips.
9. Assists plant manager in the matters related to the security, cleanliness and landscape of the site.
10. Assists plant manager to liaison with communities, their leaders and authorities to address their concerns and ensures that the plant co-exists well and in a sustainable manner with the locals and their activities including public relations programs, tourism, education and others.
11. Assists plant manager in the preparations for reports required to be submitted to banks and authorities such as ERC, DIW, MoNRE, BOI, etc.
12. Provides any suggestions for wind farm improvements to plant manager and management.

Job Qualifications/Experiences:

1. An electrical/mechanical/C&I engineering degree from reputable institutions/universities.
2. At least 5 years experiences in operation and maintenance of wind farms, power plants or industrial/manufacturing plants with exposure to rotating machines, high voltage equipment and switchgear, SCADA systems, maintenance management system is a plus.
3. Good command of written and spoken English.
4. Technical proficiency in the use of computers, software and engineering applications, such as, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, etc.
