J&T Express Joins Forces with ONCB Region 2 to Combat Drug Smuggling Through Logistics Services

BANGKOK, THAILAND — 5 OCTOBER 2026, J&T Express, led by Dr. Suteemon Aggarwal, President of the Company, and accompanied by the Legal Affairs Department, attended a consultation meeting with the Region 2 Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB Region 2) to exchange views on approaches to the prevention and addressing of drug-related issues within the transport and logistics sector. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Sarawut Phakdi, Director of the Region 2 Office of the Narcotics Control Board, and was held at the ONCB Region 2 premises in Chon Buri Province.


Key discussion points included methods and concealment techniques used to smuggle narcotics through logistics networks, as well as the statutory duties and responsibilities of business operators under applicable laws. The meeting aimed to promote a clear understanding of the associated risks and identify measures to prevent the misuse of delivery services for illegal activities.
The meeting also addressed ways to strengthen internal preventive measures. These included communicating the prohibition of narcotics and illicit substances to employees and customers, displaying clear notices listing prohibited items, and ensuring that sender and recipient information is verified and retained in full compliance with legal requirements. These measures are intended to support effective screening and facilitate coordination with relevant government authorities when necessary.

This meeting marks the second engagement between J&T Express Thailand and the Region 2 Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB Region 2) for the exchange of information and operational approaches.
